Hunt Club Interchange Open

The ribbon has been cut and the Hunt Club Interchange is now open

This morning the Hunt Club interchange was officially opened to the public. The interchange connects Hawthorne Road to the 417 and provides a flexible and efficient option for Findlay Creek residents who utilize the highway.

This Fall, OC Transpo service to Findlay Creek will see improvements to bus route 144

OC Transpo · Between about 06:30 and 07:30, two trips that currently start from Bridlepath and Albion at 07:15 and 07:45 will be extended to start from Leitrim Station at about 06:47 and 07:17. This will increase Route 144 service in the peak hour from Findlay Creek from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes.
· Between about 16:00 and 17:30, four trips that currently end at Queensdale and Conroy will be extended further south to Leitrim Station, increasing the service to Findlay Creek from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes.

City of Ottawa Transportation Committee approves Bank Street Widening Environmental Assessment

BANK-EAThe City of Ottawa’s Transportation Committee approved the Environmental Assessment for the Bank Street Widening Project from Leitrim Road to Rideau Road. The widening of Bank Street is identified in the City’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP). Construction for the first phase of the project is identified in phase 2 of the TMP, to be rolled out from 2020-2025. This work would include the widening of Bank Street from Leitrim Road to Findlay Creek Drive including widening Leitrim Road to four lanes through the intersection at Bank Street. The work would also include paved shoulders along Bank Street north of Leitrim Road to Kemp Park Drive and sidewalks and cycling lanes along Leitrim Road east of Bank Street to access the Fred Barrett Arena.
